Recently I’ve seen some of my friends doing the Puberty Challenge on Facebook and decided to give it a shot.
Arguably, people who do this challenge are those confident in their appearance and whether or not they have had this confidence since Day 1, the challenge shows how one has “glowed up” over time, because the ways they look at two different points in time can be so different.
The two photos I chose for this challenge are not necessarily my first and most recent Facebook profile photo, but they were very close!
What do you think?
The first photo was taken in 2012, when I was 15.
The other one describes pretty much how I look now, at the age of 20.
There’s only a 5-year difference. So much has changed during those 5 years. Not only how I look but also how much I’ve experienced and grown. I admit that I am a lot more confident and happier now than I was 5 years ago. Yes I did glow up. And I’m proud that I was able to experience all those-timid-teenage-years, through which I’ve learned so much and become who I am today, someone who’s not perfect yet always willing to learn and change for the better. I was beautiful, I am beautiful and will always be beautiful.
If you’re reading this, just know that YOU ARE YOU, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, YOU HAVE YOUR OWN THING AND NO ONE DOES IT BETTER THAN YOU.
So embrace yourself, stay positive and thrive!
